July 24, 2019 Tel Aviv, Israel: Miniature horses at the airport are an unusual sighting, some working as therapy horses to help stressed travelers, many airlines allow miniature horses to fly as service animals. But this recent airport equus seemed intent on traveling solo. A mule recently wandered into Tel Aviv’s Ben-Gurion Airport mingling in the departure terminal among other travelers. Rubi Hammerschlag tweeted video of the mule calmly walking around with commenters speculating on his travel agenda or if he was simply looking for his lost luggage.

Airport employees soon caught up with the mule and escorted him outdoors. Officials have no idea how the mule gained access to the terminal or who owns him. The mule is currently being held by the Ministry of Agriculture. If he is unclaimed, he will be put up for adoption.
