It was only his fourth win of 25 races but what a win – perhaps even the greatest win in horse racing history?
Early in the race, Run Rhino Run, abandoned the field drifting to the outside rail where he began to pull away. By the final turn his lead was an astonishing 300 meters whittled down to 50 as he crossed the finish line ahead of the other horses.
The stunned Sky Racing commentator exclaimed, “I’ve never in my life seen this before.”
Run Rhino Run finished last in his previous three races. Track stewards made an inquiry calling all the riders before the racing board for questioning and running enhancement tests on the horse. Results pending.
This is a ridiculous win!!!
