4 year-old, Arrogate, continues to dominate Thoroughbred racing. Named the American Champion 3 Year-Old Male Horse and World’s Best Racehorse in 2016, he added yet another win this past weekend – the Dubai Cup.

Last out of the gate, the big gray colt went to the outside to pass 14 horses and win by 2 ¼ lengths. With this purse, Arrogate set a new North American record winning over $17 million dollars.

“Everybody who was here tonight is going to say, ‘I’m glad I was here to see that,'” said trainer, Bob Baffert. “If anybody wasn’t super impressed with that, they just don’t like horse racing. I still can’t believe he won the race.

The champ has earned a well deserved rest through the summer, his owners plan to return to the track in November to defend his Breeders’ Cup Win. Congrats Arrogate and Mike Smith!
