Phyllis began photography in 2003 with a focus on nature, landscape and wildlife. She was part owner and manager of Burchett Equine Center for over 30 years so it was only natural for her to turn to equine photography. Her knowledge of horses helps her to fulfill her creative vision for the Equine Form as art. Her passion for beautiful light and candid moments inspires and fuels her to make images that make the viewer want to come along on her journey. One of her passions is to document the beautiful connection we have with our animals through her portrait work.
An award winning photographer Phyllis has been published internationally. Phyllis currently hosts Equine Photo Workshops in Georgia, Florida, Nevada, Montana, Wyoming and Virginia. She leads an Equine Photo Tour to Iceland and hosts a ladies ride to a different area of the USA each year. Passionate about sharing her love for photography with others she co-founded the Heartland Photography Club in her hometown of Covington, GA.
