Rosa is a trip. She’s smart, funny, kind, beautiful, and understated. Opinionated but always calm. She’s bold, curious, and a social butterfly. She’s classy. She would rather meander and watch the scenery than work. She’s Ferdinand the Bull and his flowers. She puts it in park when she’s bored and nothing will move her. She’s a skilled negotiator. She’s priceless.
Allie is my heart horse. Allie is my patient teacher. Allie is my true North. Allie is my therapist. Allie is my patience meter. Allie is my calm. Allie is my excitement. Allie is my confidant. Allie is my peace. Allie is my sanity. Allie is the center of my world. Allie is my everything.

My lovely, precious gem. You are a treasured beauty to admire and behold. Quiet, patient and accommodating, a lifetime companion to your very bossy mother. A brilliant mind and kind, peaceful heart. You have been a joyful delight in my life from the day you were born until the day that you died.
2005 – 2014
Thoroughbred – OTTB
Plain and brown. Small and very very smart. Patient, willing, bold, inspirational, fearless, considerate, stubborn, graceful, brave, fleet, opinionated, loving, contrary, beautiful and irreplaceable. Race horse, dressage horse, trail horse, teacher, companion. My beautiful boy now runs with the wind.
1987 – 2014
My wonderful horse, Kain. He was the happiest, kindest soul on earth. He never once pinned his ears, bit, bucked, spooked or did anything “bad”. He watched hot air balloons drift by. He played with butterflies. He loved bubble baths with warm water. He liked to have his tongue pulled. He whinnied “hello” every single time I pulled into the driveway. He was perfection. Sweet, sweet, beautiful Kain.
